This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], LLC d/b/a CozyHarbor (“CozyHarbor,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit cozyharbor.org (the “Site”), use our tools, contact us, or sign up for CozyHarbor Updates.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit a form, we collect what you enter — such as first and last name, email address, mobile phone number, your message, and which text-message types you selected.
- Consent records. For text-message sign-ups we keep a record of your consent: the consent language shown, which boxes you checked, the date and time, the page address, your browser’s user-agent string, the referring page, and the consent version.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of visit) for security and performance.
- Tool data stays on your device. Numbers and notes you enter into the Budget Planner, Grocery Tracker, Seasonal Checklist and Weekly Planner are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us.
How we use information
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To send the text messages you specifically chose, and to honor opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests.
- To keep records of consent as required by law and carrier rules.
- To maintain, secure and improve the Site.
Mobile information and SMS
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers (such as our SMS platform and form processor) that help us operate the program, under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. Service providers
We use trusted vendors to run the Site: a static hosting and content-delivery provider, a form-processing service (Web3Forms) that delivers form submissions to us, a messaging platform for CozyHarbor Updates, and a font provider (Google Fonts). Photographs are served from Unsplash’s image CDN. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their service.
Cookies
The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our tools use your browser’s local storage only to remember what you typed on your own device. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Retention
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond and for our records. We keep SMS consent and opt-out records for as long as required to demonstrate compliance, typically at least four years after your last interaction.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we may keep an opt-out record so we don’t text you again). Depending on where you live — including California and other states with consumer privacy laws — you may have additional rights. To make a request, email support@cozyharbor.org. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and our text program is for users 18 and older.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections for every form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
